SPECIAL IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION FOR ALL HERNANDO COUNTY  HOMEOWNERS
ON THE HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE INCREASE
SEPTEMBER 13, 2011   MEETING 
EVERY HOMEOWNER’S ASSOCIATION SHOULD ATTEND

WHO: Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (Citizens)

WHAT: The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Office) will conduct a public hearing to discuss Citizens' proposed rate increases for the Coastal Accounts, formally known as the High Risk Accounts (HRA), and the Personal Lines Accounts (PLA). These accounts include, but are not limited to: homeowners and dwelling/fire lines of business.  Citizens' proposed statewide average rate increases for its homeowner’s line of business, including sinkhole, are 12.1 percent for the Coastal Account and 25.4 percent for the PLA Account. The sinkhole coverage increases range from 0 percent in Lake County to 2,226.1 percent in Orange County
                  
Consumers can also send comments to the  Office regarding the Citizens’ filings by sending an e-mail to: RateHearings@floir.com, or visit the Office's website (www.floir.com) and click on the box that reads "Click here to share comments about Citizens Property Insurance Rates." Please be sure to include "Citizens" in the subject line of the email.

The bus is to leave from the Winn Dixie at the corner of US 19 and Cortez Blvd. (50) at 1:30 p.m. on September 13, 2011the bus.
